Last month I wrote an article for MacStories on the extensibility and automation changes in OS X Yosemite. How can I install JRE 6 next to Java 7 on this Mac? This previous answer does not yet account for the fact (also mentioned in a comment) that Apple's download link by now points to a.pkg ( Java for OS X 2014-001 ) file. I am using a Mac with OS X 10.10 and Java 7 for development. The second message says that Word couldn't run without the legacy version of Java. The first says that Office needs to be reintalled and that there is a problem with the installer.

That is especially useful for Windows LO users using 32-bit LO on a 64-bit Windows (Java version needs to match LO version). There is also a manual Java download page for Adobe currently Version 8 Update 60, August 18, 2015). Q47584 is the latest update on this that I can find for you.
Here the link: Apple JDK 1.6 java eclipse jetbrains-ide osx-yosemite. After this process you can configure your ide with 1.7 version. Yosemite erase 1.6 apple jdk and install 1.7, but JAVA´s IDE for example Intellij or Eclipse needs 1.6, if you haven´t reinstalled this version, your ide will crash at the beginning.
